Part 8 Development at Ardmore Beach


In accordance with Article 81 of Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), notice was given that Waterford City and County Council proposed to carry out the following development: construction of retaining wall structure along the line of the existing sleepers and earthen embankment extending from Ardmore Beach carpark towards Curragh Beach.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development were available for inspection and for purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy at the following locations, for the period from 12th July 2017 to 23rd August, 2017, both dates inclusive (excluding Bank and Public Holidays):

  • Customer Services Departments at Bailey's New Street, Waterford, 9.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday
  • Civic Offices, Davitt's Quay, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday

  • Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated, were to be made in writing, to the Director of Services, Roads, Water and Environment, Waterford City & County Council, Menapia Building, The Mall, Waterford or by e-mailing ajacob@waterfordcouncil.ie before 4 p.m. on Wednesday 6th of September, 2017.
